RaonSecure launched ‘OmniOne Digital ID’ international student card, paving the way for global expantion
On the 30th, IT security and authentication
platform company RaonSecure
announced its collaboration with KISES, the Korean representative office of
ISIC (International Student Identity Card), to launch the DID (Decentralized
ID) ISIC International Student Card based on its blockchain-based
identity and qualification verification integrated platform 'OmniOne
Digital ID'. RaonSecure also
attended the ISIC Global General Assembly held in Estonia on the 24th to expand
global partnerships.
Last year, RaonSecure signed an agreement with KISES, the Korean representative office of the ISIC association, and FutureNmore, an operator of university academic systems, to collaborate on issuing ISIC International Student Cards based on the OmniOne Digital ID platform. This agreement aimed to enable mobile issuance of ISIC International Student Cards, International Teacher Cards, and International Youth Cards for domestic students, teachers, and youths in Korea.
Students from domestic universities affiliated with the ISIC association can now obtain the DID ISIC International Student Card through the OmniOne app provided by RaonSecure. This card allows them to enjoy benefits such as discounts on public transportation, educational discounts, and discounts from local partners during overseas travel.
RaonSecure'sOmniOne Digital ID, applied in the ISIC International Student Card, operates as a blockchain-based identity and qualification verification integrated platform. It is provided in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, enabling universities, corporations, public institutions, and various organizations to issue various digital certificates without directly constructing their own DID systems. Its applications extend beyond student cards to include employee IDs, graduation certificates, employment certificates, and various membership cards, offering limitless possibilities.
Lee Eugene, Vice President of RaonSecure'sOverseas Business Division, stated, "I confirmed a positive response to the ISIC International Student Card utilizing OmniOne Digital ID from various countries during the ISIC General Assembly. We plan to engage in detailed discussions moving forward." He continued, "We deeply resonate with ISIC association's proactive vision for enhancing welfare among students worldwide. Beyond the ISIC International Student Card, we will closely collaborate to innovate and realize this vision through various applications of OmniOne Digital ID."
